The beauty mogul, 37, flaunted her wealth in a head-to-toe money-printed outfit on Thursday night, but it was the enormous sparkler on her left ring finger that really made a statement.
Kardashian’s huge diamond ring strongly resembled the 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz rock that was stolen in Paris in 2016, which Kanye West gifted the star as an upgrade from her original 15-carat engagement ring (also designed by Schwartz).
It’s possible that Kardashian had a replica made of her lost ring, or she might have returned to wearing her slightly smaller engagement bauble from 2013.
In the months following her harrowing Paris robbery — during which thieves took nearly $10 million in jewels from Kardashian at gunpoint, including the $5 million emerald-cut ring — Kardashian spoke about how material things didn’t mean as much to her anymore. She even replaced her enormous second engagement ring with a simple pavé wedding band.
“I don’t like presents anymore. I just don’t want that stuff right now. I don’t buy a lot,” she wrote for Wealthsimple.
Now, Kardashian travels with beefed-up security and has an armed guard close at all times. “I truly don’t know if I’d ever feel comfortable, I truly don’t know if I’d ever wear real jewelry again,” she said in the year following the robbery.
It seems that things have changed for Kardashian, who discussed her PTSD at length on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” The mogul also recently flaunted a diamond grill adorned with her name for a KKW Beauty campaign.
Requests for comment from Kim Kardashian’s rep and Lorraine Schwartz were not immediately returned.
